Sat, Sept 21st 11am – 1pm – Lacing/Beginner – Learns the basics of assembling your projects (and finishing your edges) with leather lace. Covers whip stitch, single loop, and double loop lacing techniques. Free!!
Sat, Sept 28th 11am – 3pm – Carving and Stamping/Beginner – Learn the basics of using a swivel knife and craftool stamps to create carved designs on leather, as well as basic stamping and basketweave designs. A swivel knife and the six basic stamping tools are required, please bring your favorite basketweave stamp- $16 WC - $14 WCE - $12
Sat, Oct 5th 10am – 3pm – Soft Leather Clutch/Intermediate – Make N Take – Learn to make your own soft leather foldover clutch! Pattern and tools provided, **please have two 15”x25” pieces of ~2oz leather (one will be the outside, the other will be the liner) or one piece of 3/4oz for your project.** Thicker leathers will not work due to seam allowances, so please be sure of your material weight. Some leathers of acceptable weight include 9121-, 99270-, 9202- w/o liner, 9114-01, 99260- w/o liner. Deerskin would be acceptable without a liner, but please note that deerskin stretches far more than most leathers, and your clutch may not retain it’s structure. R - $25 WC - $20 WCE - $15
Sat, Oct 12th – 11am – 2pm – Edge Finishing/Beginner – Learn beveling, slicking, and using edge dyes to create professional, finished edges. R - $10 WC - $7 WCE - $5
