8/17/13 & 8/18/13: Creating your Own Carving Patterns with Stacy Smith

Professional Leather Carver Stacey Smith is one of the best toolers the West has to offer. He will be teaching a two part class at our store to notch up your skills so make sure not to miss out on this special event. Students will be required to bring their latest tooling project so that Stacey can see their skill level and will need to bring their own swivel knife they are comfortable using. The class will be $100 per day, or $200 for the weekend. Limited spots are available and filling up fast so make sure to sign up as soon as you can. Some experience tooling is required.

8/24/13: 9 am-3pm: END OF SUMMER CLEARANCE SALE AND PARKING LOT SALE

It’s the end of our summer clearance sale! But for the first time at our Portland location, we will also be holding a parking lot sale outside for all our customers and leather enthusiasts alike to sell their own products! This sale will be a blast and one to remember for sure.

Please contact Tana Flanigan via phone or at Portland021@tandyleather.com about getting vendor space at the parking lot sale. Vendor spaces are free.

9/7/13: 10 am: Project Group

Since many shows and holidays are coming up, every other Saturday starting in September will be a Project group. Bring your own leather project and tools to work on so you can get help, learn techniques, and talk about the craft with other leatherworkers. Aaron Williams of Williams Leather will be the lead of these classes and will be there to answer any questions or lend help with his expertise leather knowledge. Please call to reserve your spot. This is a free class.

9/14/13: 10 am: Steam Punk Goggles

For all you steam punk fanatics, it’s time to put on your goggles! Aaron Williams will be teaching yet another wonderful class on how to construct steam punk goggles for your costumes. The class will be $10 with a 3 person min/10 person max.

9/21/13: 10 am: Project Group

Finally a belt that will fit you perfectly! You will have the chance to stamp, carve, dye, and finish. There will be a $10 fee to cover materials. 3 person min/10 person max.
